Luz Elena is CoFSA’s Community Engagement Officer. She supports the implementation of CoFSA activities, resource mobilization, community building, and the engagement of indigenous peoples, local communities and researchers to develop the CoFSA agenda of work on indigenous peoples and traditional wisdom. Having specialized in rural and agricultural development projects in Latin America and East Africa, Luz Elena is passionate about leveraging traditional wisdom, spirituality and indigenous practices in agriculture and biodiversity conservation to build truly inclusive and sustainable communities, while protecting the environment. Luz Elena holds a Masters degree in International Development from Sciences Po Paris, and has cofounded Soluciones Creativas Sostenibles in Mexico. Luz Elena believes in nature wisdom, collective intelligence and inner sustainability (lekil kuxlejal).
