Mindfulness

In May 2023 CoFSA hosted a session to delve into Mindfulness and its role in supporting the shift towards sustainable and regenerative food systems, by fostering deeper connection with ourself, others and Nature.

Guided by the esteemed Buddhist Monk Gelong Thubten, we explored the fundamentals of mindfulness and practiced together to deepen our understanding of this ancient practice.

We were also introduced to the practice of mindful eating by experts Vera Salvo and Waverli Neuberger. We discovered the art of savoring every aspect of our food, from its story to its taste, emotions, and aroma, by eating a tangerine 🍊.

Additionally, we explored how mindfulness could be applied to farming, with insights from Michael McEvoy, Farm Manager of the Plum Village Happy Farm Project. By considering the mindful aspect of farming, we realized the potential to create a positive impact on our food systems and embrace a regenerative approach.
