On April 27th The Conscious Food Systems Alliance convened a Collective Inquiry on “Conscious Local Communities and Cultures for Regeneration” to explore how to help cultivate conscious and regenerative mindsets, values and cultures among local communities to support the adoption of regenerative agricultural practices.
The session presented the impressive work done at grassroots level by Gaia Education, Opportunity International, and Schumacher College with presentation of their tested initiatives and methodologies that have proven to be successful in helping local communities to embrace a regenerative culture.

This event was the starting point for an ongoing discussion. We hosted additional in-depth sessions to discover succesful initiatives around the world, and allow for continued learning and collaboration among those interested.
We developed a Learning Report and Case Studies Collection that provides insights into this inquiry, as well as from the broader CoFSA work during the last 3 years, shedding light into the role of education and transformational learning, culture, faith and spirituality for regeneration, the importance of strong and healthy communities, and the need to foster local economies for that.
Additionally, we developed an Academic Literature Review on the Inner Dimensions of Regeneration: Mental Models, Mindsets and Culture.
Finally, partnering with The Rockefeller Foundation, CoFSA further developed “Communities of Wellbeing“, a Community-led Assessment Methodology that explores the cultural and mindset shifts needed to drive regenerative agriculture, contributing to a more holistic and sustainable transition.
