Jimena Gómez

Jimena Gómez is CoFSA’s Partnerships and Convening Specialist. She brings over 18 years of experience in international development, including 15 years with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), supporting sustainable food systems transformation across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Her work has centered on advancing agroecology and regenerative approaches as catalysts for food systems transformation—convening diverse actors in global multi-stakeholder dialogues and international fora, while supporting participatory policy processes and field initiatives at country level. At the core of her practice is a strong commitment to farmer- and people-centred innovation rooted in local realities. Accompanying farmers, local leaders, and communities in shaping their own transition pathways has reinforced her conviction that food systems transformation is not only a technical or policy challenge, but also a deeply human one. A certified yoga teacher, Jimena is committed to strengthening the role of inner capacities as essential elements in unlocking regenerative and inclusive food systems transformation.
